and it was awesome. Another Opponaut was there as well. It was about 128 miles of pure backroad smashing awesomeness. Along the way there were checkpoints you had to stop at and get signatures and such, and also you had to fill out a paper on some things you saw (how many creeks, how many switchbacks did _ mountain road have, etc). I had my friend as my navigator, and he did a pretty decent job. We never really got lost, and I got 2nd place in my class (it was for closest to actual mileage. I was .6 miles off the actual mileage). I found out some of my car's limits on turns and such, and now I know my IS300 is more agile than I thought! You were supposed to stay the speed limit and not get pulled over, which no one was pulled over, (your license was in a sealed envelope), but no one actually did the speed limit lol. Everyone was either driving spirtedly (me, most of the time, and most of the other drivers) or totally balls to the walls (some crazy people in a Mustang and an M3 and an S2000). So yeah, crazy fun, especially the mountain switchback roads. I might have hit a pretty fast speed (for me, at least) on a super open highway in the middle of nowhere with no one around on the way back home, as well. In the picture I'm wearing the orange sweatshirt holding my trophy up like a tool, and the fellow opponaut is standing in front of me. I'm not exactly sure of his username on here, but I think its his real name.

My dad did road rallies like that a few times when he was young. Sounds like a blast.
